ACT/SAT Test Preparation
|
While it is
the opinion of The
Writing Tutor that no standardized test score should ever represent a
students’ body of academic accomplishments, she also recognizes that
standardized testing is becoming more prevalent in U.S. schools and
that the scores have a higher profile since state and federal
governments are now using them as a measure of a school’s success or
failure. As a result, many parents and students feel the need to seek
study aids outside of school. This section primarily focuses on the ACT
and the SAT because they are the two tests taken by most college-bound
high school students in the United States; however, many of the
suggestions can also be applied to other standardized tests and even to
studying in general. This section also provides information of interest
to college-bound students. |
